Our goal in a nutshell
All your options, neatly listed side by side.

Greetings from Needpedia.org, an affiliate of NAAME.org! We are currently seeking a proficient data scientist to join our dedicated team. Our mission is to use machine learning in a user guide to help people navigate and utilize Needpedia more effectively.

About Needpedia:

Needpedia is a platform built on Ruby on Rails, aiming to provide a comprehensive and user-friendly wiki for all solutions to all problems, which also comes with a growing array of tools for collaboration between citizens and experts. Our goal is to make information more accessible and understandable for everyone. You can learn more about our work and explore our codebase on our GitHub page: https://github.com/Queuevius/Needpedia

About the Project:

The project involves creating an AI-powered user-guide for Needpedia. This team will be researching and implementing a new adaptive machine learning architecture called liquid neural networks, developed by MIT researchers. The aim is to enhance user experience by providing real-time assistance and guidance, and have this bot adapt to different situations and user queries.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a developer of the user-guide, you will be expected to help in the research and implementation of a liquid neural network, a new form of machine learning algorithm that adapts to new situations, for the purposes of developing an AI chatbot. The chatbot is to be able to handle all kinds of different user prompts in different areas. For an introduction to liquid neural networks (LNNs), refer to this TED talk: https://youtu.be/RI35E5ewBuI . Experience with NLP, LLMs, or chatbots will help.

Qualifications:

We are looking for people with experience in machine learning, and a desire to learn more about a revolutionary new subfield of AI. In order to decide if this role would be good for you, think about how you would answer the following questions:

  1. Are you willing to work on data collection and annotation?
  2. Do you have a fundamental understanding of machine learning, beyond the usage of frameworks/libraries?
  3. Have you worked with NLP/LLMs before?
  4. Are you willing to spend time researching liquid neural networks, reading papers and examining git repos?
