About Mile High 360:
Mile High 360 is seeking volunteers to assist our Health and Wellness Coordinators on bike rides and other activities with our middle and/or high school students. Additionally, we are looking for academic volunteers dedicated to transforming the lives of our students. We work with students in middle school, high school, and postsecondary settings, both during and outside of school hours.
Volunteer Program Overview:
On their first day, volunteers will participate in a full day of programming, engaging in both Health & Wellness and Academic Support activities. Our aim is for volunteers to gain exposure to all aspects of our programming, enabling them to identify the volunteer role that best fits their interests. This approach also allows volunteers to get to know our students in different settings, making it easier to engage with them. Volunteers are not here as authoritative figures or to manage behavior; rather, they are here to connect with students and build community.

Mission Statement
To ensure that socioeconomic status does not define a child’s future.
Description
We support students in four aspects that leads to positive change and self-empowerment:
- Academic Achievement: We support learning beyond the classroom through homework help, one-on-one tutoring, focused enrichment in literacy and math, and project based learning.
- Life Skills: We nurture personal growth and resilience through our mentorship program and socioemotional lessons. Students are able to make positive life choices as they work in a group setting or with a volunteer mentor setting goals and discussing life decisions.
- Sports and health skills: Students engage and learn a sport in our program, either squash or cycling. Under the direction of their athletic coach, students learn important life skills to master the sport.
- Post-Secondary and Career Readiness-Students discover pathways to academic, professional and personal success through special events and programs such as financial literacy, college visits, and scholarship success.
