The Harbor Dish is a mobile Community Cafe and is a 501(c03 created in 2013 to serve the Safety Harbor, FL area. Harbor Dish creates delicious food in an environment where individuals needing a helping hand can dine with dignity. We have established a network of community-minded people who have built a caring community that utilizes local farmers, businesses and volunteers to enrich the lives of our patrons and reduce food waste.
We have mobile events every Friday night and are looking for a leader to be able to manage the planning, organization and delegation of things while working with other volunteers. The immediate need is on Friday nights, anytime from 4pm-11pm, depending on the Friday. This would include supply pick up, set up, the event itself and tear down. It does not include any time you would need to prepare/organize things prior to that day. You would be able to help find your own volunteers from our database.
These events usually take place on Friday nights. You would need to be able to oversee the transport food and equipment, set up and tear down, and manage volunteers so that the even goes smoothly, so we can have a positive impact on our community. Once regular volunteers are in place, you will be able to delegate many of these tasks and oversee the volunteers. We need to have a professional event atmosphere.

- Driver's License Needed

- Each event has a different time committment, but I would say that there would be a 5 hour minimum on some, and up to 8 hours on others.
- Having a driver's license and a vehicle is a necessity if YOU transport food and equipment. You will need to have organizational skills and need to be able to manage other volunteers. You may be authorized to drive our commercial van.
