Wilder Foundation provides Customized Living Services to residents who live at Ravoux Hi-Rise, a Saint Paul Public Housing apartment building. These personalized services support adults with daily-living personal and health care to live independently and to prevent or delay the need to move into a nursing home.

As a volunteer, you’ll be a friendly presence calling to remind residents to stop by and carefully assembling breakfast and snack items for them. In addition, your volunteer support will be a big help for our staff. Join us to support the well-being and independence of your neighbors!

Responsibilities:

• Call clients at the beginning of the shift each week to remind them to pick up their food
• Take client requests to assemble and package breakfast and snack items into grocery bags for them
• Assist clients with carrying items if needed to reduce fall risk
• Help foster a welcoming environment by engaging in conversation with clients

Qualifications:

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to interact with and assist people of varying backgrounds, cultures and identities, including race, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation, ability, gender, etc.
• Have understanding and patience with clients that present with mental health concerns.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
• Complete background check & Mantoux test.

Schedule and Locations:

• Work site: Ravoux Hi-Rise at 280 Ravoux St., St Paul, MN 55103

• Total time requirement: Minimum 3-month commitment.
• Day of the week: Thursdays
• Shift time: 9 to 11am
