Communications Assistant
Location(s): East Hartford, CT
Hours: Weekday mornings or afternoons
Desired level of commitment: Twice (2-3 hour shifts) per week
Duration: Year-round
Age requirement: 18+
Tasks may include:
* Providing administrative support to a philanthropy program
* Editing communications copy (e.g., publications, social media posts)
* Assisting in maintaining web content and executing social media strategies
* Updating database and donor prospect lists
* Stuffing and mailing envelopes
In order to volunteer, you should be:
* A registered UAServe volunteer (you will have a chance to register if you haven't already)
* Willing to attend an orientation prior to volunteering
* Willing to submit a background check
* Open to an ongoing volunteer commitment that works with your schedule
* Reliable
* Honest
* Personable
* Proficient in Excel
* Proficient in Microsoft Word
