Description:
The Minority Christian Women Entrepreneurs Network (MCWEN) is a faith-based nonprofit that supports women of color entrepreneurs. We offer business development workshops, networking opportunities, funding resources and support communities that promote business sustainability.
We are seeking a social media volunteer with strong communication skills who is familiar with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, the volunteer will learn how to manage a business’s social
media profiles. The volunteer will also become familiar with platforms like Hootsuite, a social media
management system, and Canva, a simplified graphic design platform.
The volunteer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Creation of digital content including, banners, posters, flyers
- Updating and managing social media profiles
- Expanding the company’s online presence
- Preparation of printed materials for dissemination
- Assisting in day-to-day marketing activities, and other duties, as assigned
- A self-starter

MCWEN is a global network committed to helping women entrepreneurs of faith live fulfilled lives while thriving in their homes, communities, and in business. There has never been a better time than now to be a woman entrepreneur. In fact, recent studies show that minority women are the fastest-growing group of entrepreneurs. That's why we're committed to supporting our members through:
Monthly local meet-ups;
Quarterly grant awards;
Virtual forums, and so much more.
