The Minority Christian Women Entrepreneurs Network (MCWEN) is currently seeking a Baltimore-based Local Coordinator for our monthly women's networking event. Local coordinators are asked to volunteer for 4 hours monthly. Major responsibilities may include but not limited to: - Recruiting members - Host & facilitate monthly meet-ups in local city, - Attend monthly coordinator meetings (via zoom), and - Attend Annual Leadership Meeting. MCWEN is a thriving community for minority Christian women who have an interest in entrepreneurship and business ownership. Using the Proverbs 31 woman as a model, MCWEN seeks to support women to become impactful and positively influential women in their homes, community, and at work. Local coordinators will enjoy a free annual membership.

The ideal volunteer will have a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. Description: The Minority Christian Women Entrepreneurs Network (MCWEN) is a faith-based nonprofit that supports women of color entrepreneurs. We offer business development workshops, networking opportunities, funding resources and support communities that promote business sustainability. We are seeking a social media volunteer with strong communication skills who is familiar with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, the volunteer will learn how to manage a business’s social media profiles. The volunteer will also become familiar with platforms like Hootsuite, a social media management system, and Canva, a simplified graphic design platform. Please note volunteer position is remote. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of prior office related experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good research skills and attention to details. General duties: -Provide general administrative and clerical supporting. -Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system of client and internal documents. -Perform data entry and scan documents. -Manage program calendars. -Develop relationship with community organizations. -Periodically prepares reports, financial statements and records on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or funding sources. -Assists with evaluating program effectiveness to develop improved methods; analyzes results and implements.
