NoSchoolViolence is creating a new research team project focused on the simple question of why hasn't significant progress been made in reducing school violence during the last 50 years.
We need three psychology researchers to help us better understand the psychological mechanisms involved in school violence as well as the psychological issues violence places on families/parents. Please apply if you are in either U.S. or European time zones.
Our social science research team's interdisciplinary focus is in the following areas: the psychological, sociological, historical, economic, linguistic and demographic causes of school violence; the role media plays in creating social constructions of school violence; the role that violent games may play in influencing a child's violent behaviors, and applying several new social theories to offer a new view of what dynamics are involved in school violence.
Our research team will work collaboratively with a goal of producing research that will be a particular value to parents, teachers, school administrators, academic researchers, and educational policy analysts.
We welcome individuals who like working together on our project that will have profound and significant value for the public as well as for each team member.
