NoSchoolViolence.org is a data-driven AI based research organization. At present we need 3 political science researchers to take on the following research project: we need to build a database of all federal legislation dealing with school violence and school safety. The three volunteers will be assigned one of the following: legislation introduced by the House of Representatives, legislation introduced by the U.S. Senate, and Executive Branch Acts or Programs. The research process is broken down in this manner: 1) identify and collect legislative or executive actions, 2) review and summarize their intention, 3) contact and interview sponsoring legislators, assessing why they framed their legislation in a manner reflected by the bill or act, 4) collect all three efforts and load them into a database. The purpose of this database is to discover trends that will provide an overview of what has been effective in reducing school violence and what needs to be done legislatively to further advance that cause. The research effort can be modified at any time given any new insights. The team will meet regularly to discuss their individual projects.
