Help save lives in your community delivering life-saving blood.
Did you know someone needs blood every two seconds? Every day, roughly 36,000 units of red blood cells are needed in the US. Simply put, that’s a lot of blood that is severely needed. Thankfully, many heed the need and donate blood. To continue to meet this critical need, the American Red Cross Central Appalachia region is looking for dependable, safe and courteous drivers to deliver lifesaving blood products.
As a Blood Transportation Specialists, you can be the critical link between blood donors and recipients. Volunteers take on regular routes and are on standby for emergency runs.
All routes begin in Huntington, WV at 1111 Veterans Memorial Blvd.
The shifts are Monday - Friday 9am - 1pm on you can choose an on-call shift on Tuesdays and Fridays from either 8am - 12pm or 2pm - 6pm.

Description
The American Red Cross Central Appalachia Region includes all of West Virginia, plus counties in Ohio, Kentucky, Maryland and Virginia. We serve our communities every day by responding to local disasters, encouraging life-saving blood donations, preparing our communities for emergencies and providing care and comfort to an ill or injured service member or veteran or support to a military family member. 90% of our workforce are volunteers and it is through the time and care of ordinary people that we can do extraordinary things.
