Part Time Position
This position is a part-time After School teaching position. The teacher would support Schilling Elementary School through the ASPIRE Tutorial Program of the Sewa Bay Area Chapter. Position is for the school year only. The work hours (9 hours per week) Tuesday - Thursday from 2.30 pm - 5.30 pm. Report to ASPIRE Program Coordinator.
Essential Duties:
Develop and implement lesson plans and daily activities focused on language arts; reading, grammar, spelling, Mathematics for Grades 3rd - 6th.
Provided individual teaching to motivate and instill enthusiasm for learning; approx. 20-25 students
Lead weekly enrichment activities for the students like coding, robotics, Performing Arts, Art and Craft.
Design individualized curriculum for academically underachieving students
Design activities to promote social, physical and intellectual growth
Motivate students to learn by providing hands on and fun activities
Assure that students complete the homework correctly
Maintained accurate attendance
Maintain the standards and procedures set forth including CDC guidelines by ASPIRE Sewa Bay Area.
Develop human relations skills through interactions with ASPIRE Program Coordinator
Design and organize the classroom by coordinating clear and consistent rules
Ensured the safety and well-being of the children
Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the after school program
Qualification:
Graduate
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Prior teaching experience Required (3rd to 6th graders)
Ability to deal with diversified community students.
Possess analytical skills and strategic mindset.
