Do you want to help our non-profit provide community, opportunity, and hope for adults diagnosed with mental illness? The VISTA Community Partnerships Coordinator will ensure our new, member-led employment program is successful and sustainable by:

  • creating and implementing a marketing plan;
  • forming new employer partnerships;
  • supporting both new and existing relationships within the community;
  • monitoring and evaluating the employment program for success;
  • and ensuring internal and external communications are engaging, informative, and on-mission
Day-to-day service follows a normal office schedule, and those who seek to build community-driven solutions are encouraged to apply.

This position is a 12 month, full-time service commitment. Members receive a living stipend, free health benefits including some counseling, as well as one-on-one coaching, monthly professional development opportunities, and training in areas like project management, community engagement, and other topics. At the end of their service, members may choose to receive the Segal Education Award ($6,345) to be used towards loans or future schooling, or a cash stipend ($1,800). Additionally, VISTA members who complete their service year receive Non-Competitive Eligibility (NCE) for federal employment, which allows a VISTA member who meets the minimum qualifications for a job to be hired by a federal agency without having to compete with the general public.
