Caring Hospice Services in Central Jersey offers compassionate care for patients who are facing life-limiting illnesses. In order to provide our patients and families with a broad spectrum of care, we need your help!!

We are currently looking for volunteers who would like to provide companionship with the help of their certified therapy animal within Middlesex, Union and Ocean counties. Pet Therapy volunteers provide socialization and engagement by sharing their loving pets with our patients. It brings so much joy and an even brighter smile to their faces!

Please note the pets must be certified and the handler must be Covid-19 vaccinated and boosted to enter facilities. Religious exemption will not be accepted. All volunteer training will be provided.

A few hours a month will mean so much!

Please contact Ashley at 732-661-9373 or email adeprospero@caringhospice.com for more information.

Mission Statement

Caring Hospice Services is a unique, holistic and cost-effective service designed to meet the social, emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of patients and families as they face terminal illness. Our mission is to coordinate patient and family services while respecting their choices, values, and beliefs. We are also committed to educating the community regarding hospice philosophy and multi-disciplinary standards of care.

Description

Many times caregivers and patients can experience feelings of isolation; either because they are so consumed with caring for their loved one, or because friends and family may find it difficult to be around someone facing a terminal illness. Trained Hospice volunteers can offer emotional support to both the caregiver and the patient throughout this difficult time.

Our program includes volunteers in both a patient care and in an administrative setting.

No previous experience is necessary. We provide all the training you need and we will work around YOUR schedule.
