Are you compassionate, a good listener, and comfortable with older people? If yes, Caring Hospice Services i looking for you! Join our team of trained volunteers, nurse case managers, social worker, chaplain, and aides. You would offer non-medical support to patients and their families by becoming a regular, friendly visitor. Caring Hospice Services of Central New Jersey is looking for Hospice Volunteers to spend a few hours each week and/or month providing companionship and warm support to hospice patients and their families throughout Union County. **Currently we have opportunities available in Clark, Cranford, Mountainside, New Providence and Warren.** You can sit and talk, read a book, play music, watch a movie, or play cards. You can share your musical talents by playing the guitar or singing a song! No previous experience or healthcare background is required. We provide all the training you need, and we work around YOUR schedule! Patient visitor opportunities are available in private homes, assisted living, and nursing facilities. ** This is a great opportunity for college students, nursing/pre-med students, and/or social work students looking to gain knowledge and experience ** Come and share your talents or just a listening ear! I look forward to hearing from you! All hospice volunteers are required to wear a mask at all times while visiting with patients. Covid-19 VACCINATION AND BOOSTER REQUIRED TO VOLUNTEER. RELIGIOUS EXEMPTION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THIS TIME.

Office Volunteers needed to help Caring Hospice Staff with daily tasks in our Edison office location. Helping out in the office is a great way to be in a social environment and still contribute to those receiving hospice care. This is the perfect opportunity for high school/college students or the retired person that does not want to sit home all day! Days and times are flexible! No previous experience or healthcare background is required! We provide all the training you need and will work around your schedule!! *COVID19 VACCINATION and BOOSTER REQUIRED for all office volunteers. Religious exemption will not be accepted. No one understands the questions and concerns of a U.S. military veteran more than a fellow veteran or active duty personnel. Caring Hospice Services now has a program where volunteers with similar backgrounds can meet and assist in the care of our veteran patients. End-of-life can bring about painful memories and the need to share, possibly for the first time. Veteran volunteers offer a unique camaraderie allowing our veteran patients to share their stories and support their healing. If you are a veteran and would like more information about this opportunity, we would love to talk with you! We work with and have patient's residing with the Menlo Park Veterans Home in Edison, NJ. Patient visitor opportunities are available in private homes, assisted living, and nursing facilities. **This is also a great opportunity for college nursing or social work students looking to gain experience.** Come and share your talents or just a listening ear!!
