Seeking a volunteer with a clean driving record to transport guests in a multi-passenger van to appointments and job interviews and also transport food from Center of Hope to the Triage and Low Demand Shelter (Emergency Shelter). You could be a bright spot in a life that is experiencing challenges. Our guests are homeless individuals, and many are trying to make a positive change in their lives. That change could start with you! This opportunity is available Monday through Friday between 9 am and 4 pm. Description

The Salvation Army Fort Myers Area Command includes many locations offering multiple programs and services. Facilities include a residential shelter, Homeless Resource Day Center, Outreach Centers in Bonita Springs ,LaBelle, and Lehigh Acres, a Worship and Administration center, Triage & Low Demand shelter and transitional housing for graduate clients. Programs include a comprehensive care program, family shelter, a medical respite unit, a correctional services program, a food services program which includes evening meals for the homeless and needy, crisis management for those on the verge of homelessness, a Christmas Cheer outreach ministry to disadvantaged homes in the area, and more. These social service programs help thousands of people each year and are very rewarding to be involved with.
