This is a volunteer position; however, it will give you valuable work experience while helping to further our efforts to help victims of abuse.

Company Description: Abuse Refuge Org (ARO) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3). We focus our best efforts and practices to assist and help those abused by aiding in 10 major areas of abuse to include: Sexual, Physical, Narcissistic, Psychological, Financial, Bullying, Spousal, Cyber, Child, and Self-abuse.

**This is an unpaid volunteer position

Responsibilities And What You Will Do:

  • Works with the executive office to carry out duties and assignments.
  • Attends all staff meetings as required.
  • Takes thorough notes and documentation on all topics discussed at each meeting.
  • Share all meeting notes with the co-founder to be distributed to the appropriate group.
  • Assists in implementing new Norm Therapy(r) structures.
  • Create content that is free of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.
  • Provide same-day turnaround time for notes.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to make calculated judgments.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, or similar software.
  • Has an eclectic educational background and experiential knowledge.
  • Must be available to volunteer 10+ hours a week
