The HDSA San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate Fundraising Committee shall work to establish a fundraising plan that incorporates the HDSA San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate Agreement, Approved Budget, Performance Standards, and Plan of Work. The Committee shall work with existing event committees on ways to meet and exceed fundraising goals every year. The Committee is responsible for the involvement of all of the Affiliate Committee members in fundraising activities (i.e.: securing sponsorship, local grants, etc.) and for monitoring all fundraising revenues and expenses.

Tasks committee members will work on:
-Manage a fundraising event
-Raise funds regularly meet or surpass fundraising targets
-Research potential donors to gain insight into needs, beliefs and donation habits to understand how to position the SF Affiliate to them
-Assist in brainstorming and creating new methods to raise funds for HDSA San Francisco Bay Area Affiliate
-Work with Communications Committee to promote fundraising activity
-Plan and coordinate event meant to raise funds and coordinate activities of volunteers
-Work with HDSA staff partner to complete and orderly records of donors and manage regular donor communications
-Build upon existing donor relationships and form new donor relationships on a regular basis
-Collaborate with other organizations and groups within the community to build partnerships and enhance fundraising activities
Must live in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

This is a volunteer position to start in March 1, 2022. Dollars raised funds Huntington's disease research, two (2) Center of Excellence at Stanford and UCSF Medical Center, three (3) local Huntington's disease support groups and local resources for Huntington's disease families.
HDSA Affiliate has two annual events: 4th Annual San Jose Team Hope 10K Timed Run & 5K Walk is the 2nd biggest fundraiser for the nonprofit. Date of the event is June 18, 2022 & is held at Campbell Park in Campbell. Participants run/walk on Los Gatos Creek Trail. Record Timing times the runners. The largest fundraiser is the 16th Annual San Francisco Team Hope Walk on October 1, 2022 at Chrissy Field.
