Volunteer Bookkeeper Needed

We at Can Do Canines are very excited that you are interested in being a part of our volunteer program! We are looking for a volunteer who is interested in helping with bookkeeping duties.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Process bank reconciliations each month.
2. Enter and print checks, three times a month.
3. Reconcile credit card transactions each month.
4. Process month-end close-out entries including inventory usage and supplies.
5. Other duties as assigned.

Experience

Knowledge of and experience in Accounting functions, A/P and A/R, year-end accounting, bank reconciliations, and audit processes. These qualifications are typically obtained from two or more years of related experience. Attention to detail, proficiency in 10-key and typing skills, experience in working with deadlines and experience in using computer and telephone to perform work are required. Knowledge of and experience in working with Quickbooks required, with experience using Quickbooks Online strongly preferred. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) also strongly preferred.

Education

Associates Degree in related field and two or more years of related experience, a Bachelor’s Degree and one or more years of related work experience, or two or more years of related experience.
