You can host an assistance-dog-in-training in your home for 2 weeks! Carefully chosen inmate handlers at a few local prisons help us train puppies to become assistance dogs. The puppies go to volunteers' homes for 2 weeks during their time in the training program, in order to learn good house manners and get exposed to as many social and public situations as possible. Can Do Canines provides knowledgeable training staff supporting you, all of the dog food, and vet care. By helping host a future assistance dog, you are enhancing the quality of life for people with disabilities. These dogs will grow up to bring their people more freedom, independence and peace of mind. Plus, you get to snuggle with a life changing dog!
