Interested in sharing your gift of music with those in need?
Music helps to provide patients with a sense of joy and positivity unlike any other art form. It can be a key component in boosting mood and helping to cultivate a healing environment. St Augustine Health Campus is in search of volunteers to share their love of music with our residents, visitors, and team members.
If you are interested in performing for residents in our assisted living, singing with our residents, or just coming in to play for residents and staff for an hour on one of our units/floors... If you are a single person or a group... We have the ideal opportunity for you.
The residents love music and truly enjoy having the opportunity to listen and interact with you! If you play a wind instrument, a string instrument, have a keyboard or just like to sing... we would love to have you join us!
Spend as little as a 1/2 hour or longer if you would like. Time is flexible. Usually between 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Monday - Friday and 11:00 - 3:00 on weekends.

Description
St. Augustine Health Ministries is a mission-driven, faith-based, not-for-profit organization affiliated with Catholic Charities and is dedicated to providing a continuum of health care and social services within our community. Within the Health Ministries, St. Augustine Health Campus cares for the chronically ill and aging through short-term rehab, assisted living, and long-term care. The St. Augustine Child Enrichment Center provides early education and child care for 80+ children, beginning at 6 weeks through preschool. Holy Family provides home health care, residential and community-based hospice services. Emerald Village Senior Living provides independent and assisted-living apartments located in the west suburbs for active seniors 55+.
