ORGANIZATION: SAMBHALI US INC

The webmaster for Sambhali U.S. will be instrumental in telling the stories of the women and girls of Sambhali and raising funds to support empowerment, education, vocational training and freedom from gender-based violence. They will do this through maintaining and updating our website, fixing website errors, and making sure designs and updates function properly. They will also add content and aggregate performance data.

Mission Statement

The mission of Sambhali U.S. is to support the courageous women and girls of Rajasthan, India who seek to raise their voices with dignity and self-confidence, build a road to economic independence, and ultimately determine their own destinies.

Description

Rajasthan, India is one of the worst places to be born female. Sambhali U.S. tells the stories of women and girls in Rajasthan who seek to overcome discrimination based on class, caste, and gender, raises funds for programs run by India-based Sambhali Trust, and recruits volunteers to help.

We fund programs focused on empowerment, education, vocational training, and gender-based violence.

Sambhali U.S. is totally volunteer run and volunteers support our communications, finance, fundraising, and volunteer engagement efforts. In the future, there will also be opportunities to volunteer with Sambhali Trust in either the city of Jodhpur or a rural community in India.
