One Community is a 100%-volunteer nonprofit think tank creating open source plans for all aspects of sustainability. Here is the overview of our project: https://www.onecommunityglobal.org/overview We're seeking people with web design skills and/or a strong interest in learning the basics of Wordpress web design, webpage formatting, and HTML coding. We're happy to train the right candidate.
Position requirements:
- 10+ weekly hours to volunteer
- At least 2 months of availability
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Quick and eager learner with solid technological skills
- Basic Photoshop/Graphic Design skills a plus but not required
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a virtual environment and with minimal supervision
TASK SPECIFICS
We're seeking 3-4 additional web designers to help publish sustainability tutorials to our (pre-Gutenberg) Wordpress site. Content covers everything from construction topics to permaculture, recycling, and more. Content and pics are currently on Google Docs, what's needed is to creating the web pages from this content and check your pages created using a spreadsheet we've developed with a checklist of all the key points for quality page creation that matches those already developed on our site.
