This is a very unique opportunity to be a volunteer with a hospice company. Our volunteers visit with patients who have a terminal illness. The volunteer usually visits once per week for one hour. You offer social support such as having conversations, listening to stories, doing art projects, or helping with simple chores.

We are looking for bi-lingual volunteers to meet with patients in East Valley (Mesa / Chandler), West Valley (Surprise / Goodyear) and Central areas of Phoenix. *Company policy requires all employees and volunteers to undergo the same onboarding requirements, which may include drug testing, TB testing, and criminal background check. Hospice is not a "place" but a philosophy. The care provided by Suncrest Hospice does not focus on halting, delaying, or curing of an illness but rather on comfort. At the center of hospice care is the core belief that each of us has a right to die pain-free and with dignity.

Suncrest hospice provides exceptional care to their patients by qualified and compassionate physicians, nurses, aides, social workers, spiritual advisors, and volunteers. Our team is committed to our patients comfort and quality of life while also supporting the patient's family members. Our goal is to manage our patient's pain and symptoms, respond to the emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs. We also provide education to caregivers on how to better care for our patients. In all of this, the volunteer has the opportunity to play an essential role within the team.
