STW(tm) also offers educational programs to excite young minds about water science.

The Role:
Support the Publishing Group by managing a team of volunteers in the area of research by overseeing the research of articles for the Save The Water(tm) website. Also responsible for staff writers by overseeing the writing of articles for the Save The Water(tm) website.
What you will be responsible for......
- Manage on average 2-3 volunteers within the Publishing team, holding them accountable for their work
- Plan and conduct a monthly team meeting, including sending agenda, taking meeting minutes, and follow up
- Check all pending posts and ensure that tags, meta descriptions, meta keywords and excerpts are correct
- Make sure all pending posts have a "green light" and are ready to go live
- Keep up with SEO best practices and maintain current knowledge of how to best have our content found in organic Internet search.
- Copy Associate Director and Director in all correspondence
- Maintain volunteer responsibilities and correspondence with Publishing staff
- Upload staff-written articles on Wordpress in accordance with Publication Guidelines
- Ensure that all staff-written articles arrive on time
- Check article references; ensure that superscripted numbers correspond with references at the bottom of the articles
- Attend Publishing group’s monthly meeting
- Keep PWR minimum on a weekly basis
- Complete the PWR audit for the Associate Level each month
- Report to Associate Director for the given project team

- Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public.
- Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department
- Basic understanding of WordPress
- Bachelor's degree completed or at least 3 years or more full time paid corporate/non - profit work experience.
- Understanding of Peer Reviewed Sources
