LifeSmart Education is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that enhances the availability of nontraditional educational classes and resources for underserved youth and communities. We help those who need unwavering, positive life management skills. Youth aren't born knowing the life skills that we wish they did; they must be taught and molded into productive members of society. At LifeSmart Education, we teach youth how to be socially and emotionally successful, and enable them to achieve their highest potential as law-abiding global citizens.

Role Description

We are looking for a curriculum coordinator to create, maintain, and improve upon the curriculums of our programs. LifeSmart Education offers financial literacy and life skill classes to prepare youth for success in life both in and out of the classroom. The curriculum manager is responsible for ensuring that learning goals of each program are met.

This is a remote role with for a duration of six months with the option to continue longer and opportunities to instruct if desired. The time commitment of this role is roughly 5-10 hours each week with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement the curriculum for instructors
  • Collaborate with different school administrators to support the implementation of programs
  • Help to train instructors to learn different curricula
  • Attend meetings with schools to gather information on developing in-school programs
  • Provide support and guidance to instructors as needed

Skills

  • Teaching experience desired
  • 1+ years of curriculum writing experience
  • 1+ years of experience overseeing educational program implementation
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision
