This is a great opportunity for someone who is willing to work in a startup environment, help with process improvement, and is open to the challenges of a small nonprofit. The volunteer will learn and gain valuable experience related to administrative work. There are a wide variety of skill sets that are needed and we are willing to train the right candidate. The volunteer will eligible to receive an endorsement on LinkedIn and/or a referral after 4 months. Please note that referrals are only provided upon successful completion of the entire 4 months. Who will you work with? We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic virtual administrative assistant to work alongside the Executive Director. This is a a fully remote position of about 8 to10 hours a week. The volunteer will need to check-in for assignments. We welcome creative individuals that bring a new perspective to challenges and problem solving. Responsibilities Research for ad hoc projects Create and maintain documents Train new tutors (you will be trained) Assist parents with ACE applications Proofreading Data entry Mail merges Phone calls Skills Detail-oriented Strong organization and time-management skills Excellent written and communication skills Maintains a high level of professionalism Proactive and takes initiative in making things happen Basic computer skills and/or the ability to learn new software Knowledge of Google Workspace is a plus but not required

It is an excellent chance for someone to gain experience tutoring and contribute to achieving the mission of a small nonprofit. Please note the first week is a trial period to see if the volunteer position is a good fit for you and LifeSmart Education. Virtual training on TutorBird platform will be provided. Role Description We are in need of virtual volunteer tutors that enjoy working with kids and encourage positive development. Tutors are needed for ESL, Reading, and Math. The tutor will be working with students that are at various levels of education. Mentoring hours will vary depending on the availability of the students afterschool ( Eastern Standard Time Zone). This role could lead to a paid temporary part-time position based on performance and funding. Requirements High school graduate or higher education level (preferred) High school students (Senior) with a GPA of 3.5 or higher Works well with students and is reliable, friendly, and patient Computer literate and/or willing to learn Tutor 1 hour per week based on request of student Minimum 3 months commitment

Summary LifeSmart Education seeks to foster personal growth and development for young children with our new peer mentoring program. We are giving children aged 13 to 16 an opportunity to interact and listen to guidance from our trained teenage volunteers aged 16 to 18. The young mentors will be sharing their experiences and life tips with their mentees. We are looking for an enthusiastic and responsible Education Specialist volunteer to join our new PeerMentor Program team. The Education Specialist will assist young mentors communicate effectively with their mentees. Additional responsibilities include planning and organizing engaging materials ( ex: online workshops, etc.) for the mentors on a weekly basis. This volunteer position requires a 3-month commitment (hours are flexible). Responsibilities: Plan, create, and organize weekly tasks and activities for mentors Create fun and engaging program materials Provide guidance and tips for mentors on effective communication Work collaboratively with LSE staff to achieve program’s objectives and goals Skills/Qualifications: Curriculum development Leadership skills Digital proficiency Proactive and responsible Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience working with children or a degree in Education or Psychology

Summary LifeSmart Education seeks to foster personal growth and development for young children with our new peer mentoring program. We are allowing children aged 11 to 16 to interact and listen to guidance from our trained volunteer mentors aged 12 to 22. The primary objective of the PeerMentor Program is to help teenagers aged 11 to 16 years old from underserved communities build self-confidence and resilience. The program aims to provide youths with the resources and support they need to overcome issues such as lack of motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. These issues often manifest as extreme shyness and can have a profound negative impact on the lives of young people. The mentoring program offers a variety of activities and resources designed to nurture teenagers’ personal growth, enrich their lives, and foster a sense of belonging. Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of teenagers? We are seeking volunteers to serve as mentors to middle school and high school students who are 2 to 3 years younger. We want mentors who have a good heart and a positive and helpful attitude. Mentors don't necessarily need to be excellent academically or athletically, but they should be willing to share their life experiences and offer helpful advice and be an active listeners. If you have a passion for helping young people, this is your chance to get involved and make a real difference in someone's life. Please note that parental consent is needed to serve as a mentor in the program.
