Are you or your small group handy with a paintbrush, garden tools, or a hammer and like to help with simple maintenance tasks?

Pathways of Hope is looking for a handyperson to help our facilities team help maintain our homeless shelters in Fullerton and Anaheim

The volunteer would assist the facilities team with a variety of simple maintenance tasks, room inspections, moving furniture, painting, gardening and simple carpentry tasks. Weekdays only and we would prefer the same day each week for at least 3 hours. Volunteer needs to be 18 years or older, sign a volunteer waiver, initial a volunteer checklist, and wear closed toed shoes.

Pathways of Hope offers emergency food and hygiene items and housing assistance to homeless and low-income families and individuals at four service navigation sites in addition to our two homeless shelters.

COVID has impacted the ability of many Orange County residents to acquire food and housing. Pathways of Hope is a nonprofit organization that serves families and individuals throughout North Orange County. For 47 years Pathways of Hope has been providing food, shelter and support and prevention services to the hungry, homeless and marginalized through assistance of local congregations, volunteers, businesses and grants from foundations and government agencies.

Description

Pathways of Hope is committed to rebuilding lives of the hungry and homeless in Orange County through Housing, Outreach, Prevention, and Engagement. Once a family or individual has become homeless, the path back to stability can be very challenging. Pathways of Hope offers several housing options to fit different situations, all with the goal of helping families and individuals re-gain permanent housing as quickly as possible. Pathways of Hope operates a resource center, the HUB of Hope, which offers emergency food and hygiene items to homeless and low-income families and individuals in Orange County.
