ORGANIZATION: SPARC Hope

This is probably the funniest event we've been invited to participate in this year and we are inviting YOU to help us. The Louisville Taco Festival is working with non-profits in the Louisville area to help get volunteers for their festival, in exchange they make a per hour monetary donation to our organization x's the number of volunteers we have. This can add up to some BIG BUCKS for Sparc Hope! This is a Win- Win - Win Opportunity!

1. As a Sparc Hope Volunteer you sign up to volunteer for the Louisville Taco Festival - Win for LTF

2. You have a great time handing out swag bags or putting wristbands on attendees - Super Easy and you can check out the Taco Festival and its 15+ Taco and other food vendors, Live Music, Lucha Libre Wrestling, Margarita Bars, Tequila Sampling, Contests and so much more when your 4-5 hr shift is done, or if you want you can volunteer longer! Event is at 4th Street Live! - and to top that FOR EVERY PERSON THAT VOLUNTEERS FROM SPARC HOPE, WE RECEIVE $15/HOUR DONATION (min $60 per person)- WIN for YOU

3. Sparc Hope receives a BIG CHECK (because we know A LOT of our volunteers will help) - BIG WIN for SPARC HOPE

The Louisville Taco Festival

Date: Saturday, Oct 23 rd and Sunday, Oct 24 th

Location: 4 th Street Live! (411 S 4 th Street, Louisville, KY 40202)

Attire: Dress appropriately for the weather. We will provide an event t-shirt for you to wear.

Duties: Handing out event swag and putting wristbands on guests

Shift Time: 10:30am - 3:30pm (or longer if they choose) - Same shift time for both days

When You Arrive: Meet at the event entrance at the intersection of 4 th Street and Muhammad Ali Blvd.

Compensation: $15/hour per person to be donated to SPARC HOPE. Volunteers also get to enter the event for free after their shift!

SPARC Hope is dedicated to developing the potential of single mothers and fathers in the Kentuckiana area with encouragement, education, and by setting a good example through a Christian viewpoint.

  • We want to empower single parents to seek a better quality of life through pursuing higher education, allowing them to become self-supportive through a new career.
  • Breaking the cycle of poverty through higher education or technical education.
  • We know the road to the American Dream is full of obstacles, we help single-parent families navigate through those obstacles.
  • SPARC Hope serves single-parent families who are struggling to make ends meet and who are willing to make the extra effort to help secure the future for themselves and their children.
  • We are a liaison between resources and services for single moms in our community. SPARC Hope is not a welfare or charity, but rather a hand up.
  • Our goal is to uplift the Spiritual, Physical and Emotional needs of single parents.
