February 2024 - National Engineering Week - Feb 19th - 23rd
Volunteers: Teams of 3 to 10 volunteers are needed during the weekday, and 40+ volunteers are needed on Saturday for the community event.

Introduce a GIRL to Engineering Day is a SPARK S.T.E.M - 3 DAY Competitive Festival & after-school SPARK STEM 365 clubs kickoff activities in Orlando, FL and Atlanta, GA during the week of National Engineering Week February 2024 it is a behind-the-scenes educational experience offered in a community or business STEM GO-LIVE productive environment to educate, initiate, and innovate young minds of tomorrow for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics careers exploration every February each year during the National Engineering Week.

Volunteers will support STEM experiment sessions to teach students about the educational benefits of a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics career.

Required Safety & Event Orientation:
In January and February, several safety and volunteer orientations will be hosted via Zoom and Microsoft Teams. All confirmed dates will be emailed to all "confirmed" registered volunteers.
All volunteers must sign a volunteer waiver form and wear a National STEM Society or SPARK STEM 365 t-shirt or apron at each event site activity table or tent. This will help others identify your role at the event site.

A background screening is required for all volunteers. We value the volunteers, students, parents schools, and communities we serve. All confirmed volunteers during the selection process are required to complete a child sexual abuse awareness training, reference checks (for specific volunteer roles), and background check for onsite, in-person events and programs volunteer opportunities.

Submitting a volunteer application or inquiry does not guarantee placement as a volunteer. Candidates will be accepted on the event or program needs matched with the candidates’ qualifications to meet those requirements as determined during the selection process. Incomplete volunteer applications will not be considered for review. If there is a suitable volunteer opportunity available at the time your application is submitted, you will be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator. An volunteer interview/orientation, background check, and reference check (references for specific volunteer roles) will be required before any candidate can begin an assignment. All applications will be kept on file for one year
