Patient Care Companion Volunteers needed!
- Are you a kind, compassionate individual who enjoys helping and bringing joy to others?
- Have you experienced the loss of a loved one and want to give back through volunteering?
- Have you ever thought about working in the healthcare field but not sure where to start?
- Are you a student required to complete volunteer hours as part of your degree plan or need work experience to add to your resume. A letter of recommendation can be provided when volunteering for administrative or patient companion support
About our volunteer program - We are actively seeking individuals who are interested in working with patients who are going through an advanced, terminal or life-limiting illness. As a patient care companion you would be providing comfort care, peace, companionship and friendly conversation to the gentle, end of life-stage patients within Kindred.
Our Volunteers make a tremendous difference in our patients lives. They are the heart of our team!
If you are interested in volunteering but patient care is not for you, there are other ways you can be of help. We are also looking for volunteers who desire to work in all areas of hospice administrative support and bereavement. Working in the healthcare field can be rewarding and worthwhile when your heart is in the right place. Volunteers make a lasting impact in person’s life, as well as their own. If this is something you're interested in, your next step would be to contact patricia.gonzalez@kindredHospicecare.com
