Teen Programming

Join Teen Programming and help prepare middle and high school students to succeed in school and life beyond.

What do Teen Tutors do?
* Work with a teen (7th-12th) to developing a positive and trusting relationship
* Assist with homework, enrichment activities, and high school or college prep
* Work with staff and other volunteers to help create and maintain a welcoming and positive environment

What are we looking for in a Teen Program Volunteer?
* Enthusiasm for helping teens learn and develop
* Ability to be self-directed, flexible, and patient
* Ability to engage teens of diverse backgrounds and academic skill levels
* Ability to commit to consistent weekly attendance
* Academic year commitment preferred but not required

Our current open positions are specifically looking for volunteers who are comfortable helping a teen with math and/or history homework.

  • Orientation or Training
  • Weekly attendance for the duration of a semester or school year. Current opens are Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and/or Thursdays from 5 to 6:30pm.
  • This is an in-person volunteer opportunity. COVID-19 vaccination is required for all volunteers and staff
