Lions Clubs Motto is "We Serve". The Loveland Lions perform a number of varied service projects in and around the Loveland community. Some of our most publicized projects are KidSight. It is a program where the club conducts eye screenings for children from 6 months to 6 years of age. We currently conduct screenings in all pre-schools and kindergartens in the Thompson School District with about 1,200 kids checked each year. In another project, the club operates the Buckhorn Northern Railroad from Memorial Day to Labor Day. This program allows the club to support the needs of our visually impaired residents. In addition to these there are over 2 dozen projects staffed each year that need help. Members continue to develop service projects where the club may add value to the Loveland community.
The club does utilize volunteers from the community but the vast majority of the work is staffed by club members. If you would like to become a Lion member ,we would like to explore it with you. If you are interested in volunteering without joining, please contact us for more information.
