Community Food Share is a member food bank of Feeding America. Our mission is to be a leader in our community’s effort to end hunger in Boulder and Broomfield Counties.

We collect donated food from many sources in our distribution center, where it is sorted, packaged, and checked for spoilage. Over 40 local human service agencies rely on us for free food to pass on to their clients. We also operate programs like Mobile Pantries, Elder Share, and our onsite food pantry, Feeding Families, all of which provide free food to seniors, individuals, and families in need.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Community Food Share. The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic will continue in impact our work for many years to come. We literally cannot do this without YOU!

Volunteers are needed daily to assist with sorting food, restocking shelves for the Feeding Families program, pulling orders for our partner agencies, assisting at Mobile Pantries and supporting our Elder Share program. Age restrictions vary, however, parents can volunteer with their kiddos as young as 5 years old! Children must be 16 years or older to volunteer independently.

Please let us know if you are interested in helping out! You can apply through here or on our website: https://communityfoodshare.org/volunteer

*Please note: Community Food Share is not open on the weekends or evenings.
