Neighborhood Youth Association (NYA)

Neighborhood Youth Association is a nonprofit program that provides educational services and leadership skills to low income and at risk youth.

As part of our high school leadership development program, we offer elective classes to help our students grow as individuals and give them a chance to learn something not offered in school. Many of our students have requested arts-based programming.

If you are an interior designer or artist of any sort, and would like to contribute to the community, this could be an excellent opportunity!

A big challenge in today’s world is having a small and effective space in which to live or work in. Our students want to learn how to make the most use of their available space anywhere they go and how to put in their own expressive touch to it, all within a very small budget.

We will provide any materials we are able to and are open to creating new and exciting curriculum. We are flexible to work with volunteers' hours (our program runs in the evening).
