The YMCA in Lexington , KY, in partnership with the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning, is currently recruiting volunteer tutors to meet with YMCA Black Achievers teens for the school year 2021-2022. Tutors will meet in small groups, in-person, at the Transylvannia University campus. Tutoring requires a one-hour-a-week commitment, Saturdays from 12-1 pm.
All tutors must be 18 years of age or older and must pass a background check. Orientations are available and every tutor get to take a free class at the Carnegie Center! To sign up, please contact Erica Cook at Erica@carnegiecenterlesx.org.
Supervision and materials will be provided.
*All parties will be required to wear a facial covering*
