Wentworth Hospice is looking for volunteers who want to work with patients and their families in their homes. Volunteers primarily provide patients with companionship and caregivers with respite so they can run errands and take a break from what is often, 24 hour care.
Other requests might be for a volunteer to run errands, grocery shop, do laundry or light housework. Our goal is to improve their quality of life.
If you consider yourself a good listener and someone with a compassionate heart who would like to work with both patients and their caregivers, please give DJ Antone a call at 603. 692.0220
Training is a total of 22 hours, which includes 15 class hours and 10 hours of home study.
A total of 4 background checks are conducted for the safety of our patients. Our Care Center pays for all training expenses.
**Volunteers do not provide any medical care, to include giving medications.***
