Volunteer as a coach for our Peace League Summer Basketball program! The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lowell offers this exciting summer league to help teens stay off the streets while having fun in a safe, indoor environment. Open to both boys and girls, participants are placed on co-ed teams.
Tryouts/Drafts will be held from June 16th-18th, 5-8 PM. The season includes 14 games over 8 weeks. Coaches are only required to be present for the draft and scheduled game days, making it an easy and rewarding way to give back. After registering as a coach, you’ll receive more details.
Schedule depends on the ages you would like to coach ( Coaches can volunteer with multiple age groups):
- Monday and Wednesday - 5- 9pm ( ages 13-15)
- Tuesday - 5pm - 8pm ( ages 16- 18)

Please note: A background check is required
Responsibilities/Skills and experience relevant to this position:
● Work with youth on skills such as teamwork
● Answer questions and give feedback to youth in an encouraging manner
● Monitor safety of youth, equipment, and materials
● Work with, provide feedback to, and address any concerns to Program Staff
● Be available on a consistent basis on the days/hours established at the beginning of volunteer service

With more than 100 years of history, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell has been serving generations of the community’s youth as a safe place to learn and grow. We currently have over 700 club members, and we strive to help them develop into valued, impactful citizens within their community.
The purpose of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lowell is to provide the youth of Lowell with a safe space to challenge themselves academically, engage with their peers, adopt healthy habits, and become valued members of society.
