MPLS VA Health Care System is looking for active, detailed oriented individuals who remain calm in stressful situations to assist with running supplies from our Inpatient Pharmacy to various wards/units within the Medical Center. The position does not require you to have any sort of medical training and you will not be involved in any direct COVID patient care, however, you may be running supplies to a COVID unit.

Potential duties include:
*Delivering packaged or compounded drugs to inpatient care areas that cannot be put through the tube system.
*Deliver IVs at set run times.
*Assist with putting away supplies within the pharmacy.
*Will need to pass various competencies such as hazardous transportation.
*Volunteer will NOT be transporting any controlled substances.

With current OSHA and VA safety policies and procedures during the COVID pandemic, all Volunteers are required to wear a medical face mask. VHA Directive 1193 and VA Handbook 5019 requires that Volunteers in this role have a documented COVID-19 vaccine and Flu vaccine.

Open Volunteer shifts are:
Daytime shifts available Monday through Friday
9:00am-1:00pm
1:00pm-5:00pm

Evening/overnight shifts available Monday through Sunday
6:00pm-10:00pm
8:00pm-12:00midnight
