Looking for volunteers to drive older adults and community members to local appointments, grocery store, or anywhere else they might need. Volunteers are asked to pick one day/week with a window of time that they are available to drive. Volunteers will need to have a smart phone. Rides come through an app called Spedsta. Volunteers are reimbursed at 0.14 cents per mile both ways of the ride. A 1.5 hour training is required along with a background check and driving record check.
The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program is seeking volunteers age 55 and over for this role. Volunteers may be required to do some training and a background check.
