The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is looking for volunteers to help sort, test, price, and stock donations for sale. Shifts are Monday-Saturday 9am-1pm. Thursdays volunteers help a social worker and client shop through a voucher program. Fridays and Saturdays are sale days. Volunteers are needed to monitor doors, be cashiers, and packers. All volunteers must do a 45 minute covid training and orientation. Shifts are flexible. Volunteers must be age 55 or better to apply. Provide your phone number when applying. The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is seeking volunteers to provide front desk coverage at a local housing office. Duties would include routing phone calls, working on various data entry, greeting visitors, and occasionally accepting rent payments. Training and background checks are required for this position. Volunteers must be vaccinated against COIVD-19 or submit a weekly negative test. Time commitment is flexible, looking for a regular basis of 4-8 hours a week, at least 12 hours a month. Flexible Schedule | Virtual Opportunity

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is seeking volunteers to offer virtual companionship visits with Veterans. Volunteers are asked to connect with their partnered Veteran 1-2 times per week via a phone call or over a tablet or computer for 15-60 minutes. This is a "friendly visit" with NO medical or home-care duties. Schedule is based on need and availability. Some training is needed. RSVP is for volunteers age 55 and up. The support, resources and training that Washt. Lit. gives is amazing. They are well organized and the learners and volunteers both appreciate what this organization offers. The tutors/staff are friendly and the learners are eager to be a part of it which makes it worthwhile for us to volunteer each time. We even have socials to make it more fun and relaxed. Programs like this are an asset for any community. Join us!
