PURPOSE OF JOB: To support the mission of MADD helping to carry out one of MADD’s signature fundraising Walk Like MADD events. These events provide the funding MADD needs to be able to provide victim services and educational programming to the public free of charge.
DUTIES
- Set-up event (booths, tables, hanging banners, deliver water to the route)
- Tear down event
- Help distribute snacks and water to event attendees. (Hospitality Booth)
- Registration (handing out t-shirts, registering participants)
- Guide walkers through the route
- Collect and contain trash and recycling
TRAINING:
- Brief informational session prior to the start of the Walk.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 15 years or older
- Reliable transportation to and from the Walk
- Able to assist with moving items (accommodations available if needed)
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions (accommodations available if needed)
- Able to stand for long periods (accommodations available if needed)
- Willing to wear a MADD volunteer t-shirt
- Episodic volunteer application is required for new volunteers
TIME COMMITMENT REQUIRED*:
- August 23th: 5 am-12 pm

Founded by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to protect families from drunk driving and underage drinking. MADD also supports drunk and drugged driving victims and survivors at no charge, serving one person every 8.6 minutes through local MADD victim advocates and at 1-877-MADD-HELP.
