Music Theater Volunteer
Enthusiastic and skilled volunteers with experience in theTheater and Performing Art Background or related fields to virtually teach children in our Virtual Academy program which is an after-school program that provides group-based instruction to students ages 5 - 17 years old. Virtual Academy allows homeschooled children to interact with other children in the same age group and provides educational and extracurricular activities to youth.
Class date: Oct 17 - March 1st
Students Age: ages 5 to 8 and 9 to 13
Volunteer will help with:
- instruct the class and teach students musical theater,
- fill out session notes,
- send reminders to students before class, and
- come up with their own syllabus.

Experience in musical theater or any related field
Volunteer Remotely!
Trainings:As a new instructor volunteer, you will receive orientation/training before the first day of class (October 17, 2022). The orientation will inform you on how to create and structure your virtual class. As well as inform you of the dos and don’ts of facilitating, and what's expected of you.

I’RAISE Boys & Girls International Corporation is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization in New York City founded in 2012. We have been providing free tutoring, mentoring and coaching services, virtual performance classes, college preparation program, nutrition workshops, and parent education program. As a minority led non-profit organization with leaders that are women of colors, we feel so much pride and we are so proud being able to provide beneficial resources to the children in under-resourced areas in New York City in-person and multiple-states virtually. And we have been successful in providing these services because of our volunteers. Come volunteer with us as we strive to make positive changes in children's life and be a safe haven that they can rely on!
