Bedside volunteers are such a vital part of what hospice does. These caring individuals sit with patients who are in the active dying phase of their lives and their families, providing a peaceful reassurance that they are not alone in those final hours. These very special volunteers sit at the bedside in the evenings and on weekends to make our families and their loved ones feel more supported during non-traditional business hours. The facilities that house these patients are equipped with 24/7 nursing care who also assist in caring for these patients and their families. Alongside our hospice and facility staff, we have an opportunity to provide the utmost compassionate care for our patients and families.
