Caretenders hospice is seeking student volunteers to become part of our care team! Hospice volunteers often say that helping those in need at a critical point in their lives is truly rewarding and emotionally meaningful. As a hospice volunteer you will have a chance to learn about this valuable service helping patients and families while providing in-person activities and companionship. Volunteers can spend time with patients reading, life review, watching favorite shows, playing board games or card games, scrapbooking, you name it! We are looking for those of you who have a passion for helping others and making a profound difference in the lives of patients, families and the communities we serve! Anxiety Relief Companion

When an individual is given a terminal diagnosis, it changes their world and anxiety is one of the many symptoms of a patient with a terminal illness. We are looking for a volunteer who would like to sit with a patient who suffers from anxiety to talk, listen, read, play music or just talk about the weather. YOU can make the difference in a patient's life and bring them a calming, reassuring presence in a time of great stress and anxiety.
