Volunteers are the heart of the Heartland Hospice Team! We depend on our Hospice Volunteers to help us provide the extra love and care or patients and their families need at this time in their life. Heartland Volunteers offer support, companionship, and practical caring help to this special group of people. Staying with the patient so family members can take a break, reading scripture to the patient, or just holding their hand.
Our office is also in need of volunteers to help with basic phone calls and clerical work. This is perfect for those who are not comfortable with the in-person patient piece of hospice. The help and support our volunteers give are returned to them in countless ways. Most assignments are near to your home, work, or school. you can make a DIFFERENCE! You can donate as little or as much of your time as you desire.
