This is just not another saying..... "We can make a difference in someone else's life." This is true! There are families who are going through hard seasons of loved ones who are terminally ill. These families can use a hand. If you could give 4 hours a month you can be that person! We have many opportunities for you to make a difference. In patient's home or facility. If you aren't comfortable being in the patient area you can help in the office! No matter where you help it makes a difference. Our Volunteer Team is growing and I would love for you to be a part of it. Reach out to schedule your interview! Our next training is on Sept 27th and Oct 25th. You must be interviewed first.

Heartland Hospice has an amazing Volunteer Team! I would love to have you join us! There are different areas you can choose to volunteer in. We have volunteers who enjoy being in the field and visiting the patients. there is no physical care or hands-on care for the volunteers. Our patient volunteers are the "friendly face" that comes to visit. During these visits, the volunteer listens to stories from the patients, watches their favorite movies/shows, reads to them, listens to music, or just be present. You can also work in the office and help with clerical duties. There are different departments you can help in. You can absolutely do both too!

Volunteers are the heart of the Heartland Hospice Team! We depend on our Hospice Volunteers to help us provide the extra love and care or patients and their families need at this time in their life. Heartland Volunteers offer support, companionship, and practical caring help to this special group of people. Staying with the patient so family members can take a break, reading scripture to the patient, or just holding their hand. Our office is also in need of volunteers to help with basic phone calls and clerical work. This is perfect for those who are not comfortable with the in-person patient piece of hospice. The help and support our volunteers give are returned to them in countless ways. Most assignments are near to your home, work, or school. you can make a DIFFERENCE! You can donate as little or as much of your time as you desire. Be sure to inquire about our next Training Class.

I have been with Heartland for several months now. It is very rewarding and the smallest thing you do for people is returned with the biggest appreciation. I feel good about what I do and will continue for as long as I can.
