Help strike back after disaster strikes.

We are offering a series of information sessions on our need for Sheltering Associates and Disaster Health Services Associates.

Our purpose is to meet the immediate disaster-caused needs of individuals, families, and communities. Join us to learn how we respond to disasters big and small, across the country.

Here To Help

Each disaster is different, but we adapt our resources to the needs of the people we serve.

We respond to an emergency every 8 minutes.

No one else does this: not the government, not other charities. From small house fires to multi-state natural disasters, the American Red Cross goes wherever we’re needed, so people can have clean water, safe shelter and hot meals when they need them most.

Discover how you can help communities cope with emergencies.

The vital work of the American Red Cross is made possible by people like you who contribute their unique backgrounds, talents and skill levels. Our needs change based on current events, adding flexibility to get you involved in an area that inspires you!

  • Are you someone with strong listening skills and the ability to work with culturally diverse populations?
  • Are you someone who can provide care, comfort and compassion?
  • Are you someone who can give two weeks of time during a big national disaster? Or help 4-6 hours weekly to be on call for local disasters?
