Lost Boyz is currently looking to fill the Treasurer position on our Board of Directors.

Interested candidates should have a passion for our mission:

Provide sports-based youth development to help boys and girls in Chicago’s under-resourced neighborhoods develop confidence, resilience, and life skills.

We are a growing community based organization located in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood. We serve the youths in the South Shore as well as the Humboldt neighborhoods in Chicago.

Below are the following responsibilities of this role:

• Attend quarterly meetings, either in-person or via a conference call
• Understand accounting principles
• Develop and enforce strong internal controls and financial management policies
• Ensure accurate and complete financial reporting and proper maintenance of financial records and information/tax returns
• Regularly assess risks and whether and how such risks should be mitigated
• Keep a calendar of filing requirements and deadlines and have clear assignments (with backups) to help ensure they are all met in a timely manner
• Have the organization’s financials audited whenever required or advisable
• Be an advocate for our organization and our mission to reduce youth violence in Chicago
• Be willing to contribute to the growth of the organization by networking, raising funds, and connecting Lost Boyz to other organization advocates
