Mission Statement

Lost Boyz Inc.'s mission is to decrease violence and improve the social conditions among the youth in the South Shore community. Our mission is achieved by providing quality athletic and leadership training, re-entry assistance, and innovative ideas geared for at-risk youth to align income and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Lost Boyz Inc. is a not-for-profit organization with a common interest in community development in disadvantaged neighborhoods. Our efforts are directed towards revitalizing organized sports, fostering learning and innovation in our youth, promoting public safety, and stimulating local economics.

Currently, we have four youth baseball teams and one girls softball team. We run our baseball and softball programs during the spring and summer months in Chicago’s South Shore community. The targeted demographic for service can be described as youth ages 4 to 18. Our teams also participate in service learning and community service projects year round.

Our athletic teams help to promote discipline and social skills within our participants, while also keeping each youth involved in a positive, non-violent activity. These teams are funded through corporate donations, in-kind gifts, participant fees, and fundraising activities.

Lost Boyz is a great organization. Their mission and what they do for the kids in the community leaves a long lasting impact. The Executive Director, Board Chair and its constituents have a vested interest in the youth they serve.

Extremely good/needed cause that I witnessed the benefits and effects on young men in the South Shore community. This organization isn't just an idea, but they are making an impact on Chicago's young men, many of which return to the organization to help mentor other young men!!
