Are you interested in volunteering to meet a critical need but would rather stay in the background?

Objective: To assist with food deliveries made to the Rochester Salvation Army located at 378 Jefferson Street, Rochester, PA 15074


Major Responsibilities:

  1. Unload the food delivery truck
  2. Organize boxes of food onto food bank shelves
  3. Keep the food bank area clean and tidy


Qualifications:

  1. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. (monthly Friday delivery only)
  2. Positive, friendly attitude
  3. Able to work in cooperation with others
  4. Dependable


Intake and Training:

  1. Complete a Statement of Volunteers form
  2. Complete The Salvation Army’s clearance process, which includes a Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse History Clearance, and child abuse training
  3. On-the-job training will be provided on the first day of volunteering


Time Commitment: 9 AM to Noon on the first Friday of every month (as able) and/or 9:30 AM to Noon every Wednesday (as able)
